The Waylon Hicks Project is a San Diego, CA based Funk and Jazz group led by the talented Saxophonist, Waylon Hicks. Waylon's sound and approach to music is unique which allows Waylon Hicks Project's brand of sound to be all their own. WHP performs funk based jazz arrangements of a wide variety of tunes. Waylon's goal is to stay true to the many traditions of jazz while including some modern tweaks helping to make his music accessible to crowds of all ages and backgrounds. From his original tunes and jazz standards to even some rock and pop covers, this is jazz performed in a way like you've never heard before!
